Flower Show Wins 8 International Awards

The 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show has been named the winner of eight Pinnacle Awards by the International Festivals & Events Association. The announcement was made Sept. 10 at the annual gathering of 1,000 representatives of festivals and special events from around the world.

The IFEA honored the PHS organizational website with a gold award, and named Philadelphia Green one of the best community outreach programs of its kind in the world.

The Flower Show won top awards for its “Jazz It Up!” hat, pin, TV promotion and event video. The Show also was cited in the international competition for best children’s programming and for its street banners.
